About the Author
Daniel S. Newman, PhD, NCSP, is an assistant professor in the school psychology program at National Louis University in Illinois. He currently teaches and supervises courses in school consultation, clinical supervision, and a school psychology internship seminar, and is co-chair of the NASP Early Career Workgroup.

A must-have resource!!

This is the best kind of "practical" resource: thoughtful, accessible, and grounded in the school psychology literature. As a current school psychology faculty member and internship seminar instructor, I plan to share this book with our interns and field supervisors from now on. The author includes sound and practical advice on everything from developing quality supervision and promoting "entry" to a school setting, to self care and the job search. The many figures, tables, and forms (e.g., Field Evaluation of Student's Clinical Competencies) make it easy to digest and use the content provided. The critical thinking questions for interns, field supervisors, and university supervisors are also excellent and will help me guide future discussions with my students. Simply put, this is a wonderful resource for interns and those who care for them!
