Excellent Resource!

This book is an excellent resource for anyone interested in quantitative analysis. It is written in a very accessible format such that someone just developing their quantitative skill set can understand without watering it down such that someone seasoned in quantitative analysis would not find it applicable. One of the best things about the book is that for the vast majority of the chapters, after reading the chapter, you will be able to understand the concept and execute the analysis. Never before have I found a book to be so clear that even after just one read, I felt confident enough to attempt application of the concept. Fantastic job to the authors! I look forward to future editions!

Excellent book!

It is rare to find a book which combines individual-level, multilevel, item-level, and covariance structure analyses into one resource, with each type of analysis fully described with examples, and in some cases, sample code. While my background is in measurement and statistics, much of my coursework was limited to foundational skills which are not sufficient to study complex problems encountered in practice. The contributors to this book have done an excellent job building on the foundational skills learned in most quantitative methods courses to prepare the reader to apply advanced analyses in real world contexts encountered in practice, not just theory.

Great resource for educational researchers, or those in social sciences in general with a need for quantitative analyses outside of simple regressions and ANOVA. Nice examples with syntax for popular programs. Highly recommend.
